The Doubleday brothers and their cousin
This session examines the lives and achievements of three 19th century Quaker scientists who were all related - Henry and Edward Doubleday and their cousin Henry Doubleday who lived at the same time. The brothers Henry and Edward were, like many Victorians, passionate about observing and classifying the natural world. Their cousin Henry was keen to find ways to improve food security.
